Bio

I received my BS in History at Iowa State University in 2014. I then moved to Cedar Falls where I completed my MA in History with an emphasis in Public History under the direction of Dr. Leisl Carr Childers. In 2017, I started a PhD program in History at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Since moving to Greensboro, I have advanced to candidacy and completed a post-baccalaureate certificate in the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program under the direction of Dr. Lisa Levenstein.

My dissertation research focuses on Vietnamese refugees who were resettled to North Carolina after the end of the Vietnam War. My dissertation research is supervised by Dr. Thomas Jackson.
